Concrete Grouting and Crack Injection Technologies

by Carleen Geisler | August 26th, 2017 | in Concrete Repair

Concrete is an amazing thing. We use it everywhere in construction, such as the building of bridges, water tanks, tunnels, parking garages, condominiums and office buildings. But if there is only two things that you know about concrete, it is that is it gray and it cracks.

We’ve all seen those huge pieces of concrete with cracks running through it. If it’s a sidewalk, we probably don’t care too much, as long as we’re not tripping over it. But if it’s a huge pillar, or part of a bridge, a crack in the concrete is alarming and should be investigated and repaired.

This is why Vector Construction has spent so much time improving and perfecting their concrete grouting and crack injection technologies. Our crews have worked all around the world, in all kinds of conditions, learning the best possible way to fix these cracks in the concrete.

Repairing concrete

In some cases, we surface inject cracks, covering over the cracks almost seamlessly and making sure that the cracks don’t grow and become bigger problems. We can do this for small cracks and repairs or we can do it on huge structures as well.

In other cases, we drill holes into the concrete and then inject epoxy or urethane into the crack, essentially sealing and/or bonding it together.

We also do slab jacking, which is a procedure where we inject grout under the slab of concrete to raise it back to the proper height. This is done when the concrete is sinking into the ground, destabilizing the entire structure.

If you can think of a concrete structure, we’ve probably worked on it, from dams to anchors, from government buildings to nuclear reactors. There’s no grouting or injection work that we haven’t done.

When you want this kind of work done, and you want to get the best concrete contractor in Canada or the U.S., there’s really only one company to call: Vector Construction.
