Vector Construction is proud to announce that we were the recipients of the Award of Merit at the 2018 ICRI Fall Convention. The ICRI convention joins together members of the International Concrete Repair Institute, including novice and seasoned professionals. At the annual convention, concrete repair experts offer technical sessions, networking and social events to further the industry of concrete repair, protection and restoration.

The Award of Merit given out at this event is a mark of quality in a concrete repair project, and is given to those concrete repair companies who exceed expectations within a project. For Vector Construction, the project that earned us this award was our repairs to the Coal Creek Power Station. After 40 years of use, the cooling tower was showing its age and in desperate need of repair.

The tower, located in North Dakota, was completely demolished and then rebuilt but it was determined that the concrete could be preserved. The entire structure was rebuilt during a 6.5 week-long shutdown in May 2017. A large amount of work was required in a very short amount of time; meaning that planning and coordination between Vector Construction, other contractors and the owner of the site was extremely critical. Vector Construction was able to complete this project efficiently and safely.

Vector Construction is extremely thankful to the ICRI for this award – we look forward to continuing to push the limits in concrete construction!
